Biografía
Philip Morris Glass es un compositor estadounidense de música minimalista. Asistió de joven a la escuela de música Juilliard. Es relativamente conocido, pese a la complejidad de sus propuestas musicales, desde la aparición de su ópera Einstein on the Beach. Ha compuesto más de 20 óperas, largas y breves; nueve sinfonías; dos conciertos para piano y conciertos para violín, piano, timpani, saxofón y orquesta; ha puesto música a un viejo film como La bella y la bestia de Jean Cocteau. Trabaja habitualmente con el Philip Glass Ensemble. Ha colaborado con Paul Simon, Linda Ronstadt, Yo-Yo Ma, Doris Lessing y Robert Wilson.
