Biografía
Walter Matthau (nacido como Walter John Matthow; 1 de octubre de 1920 - 1 de julio de 2000) fue un actor, comediante y director de cine estadounidense. Es mejor conocido por sus papeles cinematográficos en A Face in the Crowd (1957), King Creole (1958) y como entrenador de un desafortunado equipo de ligas menores en la comedia de béisbol The Bad News Bears (1976). También protagonizó 10 películas junto a Jack Lemmon, incluidas The Odd Couple (1968), The Front Page (1974) y Grumpy Old Men (1993). Matthau ganó el Premio de la Academia al Mejor Actor de Reparto por su actuación en la película de Billy Wilder The Fortune Cookie (1966). Matthau también es conocido por sus actuaciones en el romance Charade (1963) de Stanley Donen, el musical Hello, Dolly! de Gene Kelly.
