Priyanka Chopra Jonas (hindi devánagari प्रियंका चोपड़ा; Jamshedpur, Jharkhand; 18 de julio de 1982) es una actriz y cantante india. Antes del inicio de su carrera de actuación trabajó como modelo. Ganó fama y notoriedad después de ganar el título de Miss Mundo 2000. A menudo es referida con el apodo de «Piggy Chops» que le fue dado por sus coprotagonistas en el rodaje de la película india Bluffmaster!. Durante su carrera ganó una vez el premio Filmfare, al que también fue nominada siete veces, y un Premio Nacional de Cine de la India por Mejor Actriz. Su debut como actriz fue en 2002, en el filme Tamizhan. Al siguiente año hizo su debut en Bollywood con la película El héroe: historia de amor de un espía, siguiendo con el éxito Andaaz, por el cual ganó un Premio Filmfare por Mejor Debut Femenino. En 2004 se convirtió en la segunda mujer en ganar el Premio Filmfare a Mejor Villano, que recibió por su aclamado papel por la crítica en Aitrazz. Chopra más tarde tendría éxito comercial con películas como Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Krrish (2006), Don: la persecución comienza otra vez (2006), Don 2 (2011) y Bajirao Mastani (2015). 2008 marcó el comienzo de una nueva etapa en la carrera de Chopra. Su interpretación de modelo con problemas, en la película Fashion le valió un Premio Nacional de Cine a la Mejor Actriz, así como un Premio Filmfare a la Mejor Actriz. Recibió críticas positivas por sus papeles en películas como Kaminey (2009), What's your Raashee? (2009) y 7 Khoon Maaf (2011), por la que ganó un Premio Filmfare a Mejor Actriz. Una vez hecho esto, Chopra se estableció como una de las principales actrices del Bollywood contemporáneo. Además de actuar en películas, Chopra es actriz de teatro y lanzó su primer álbum discográfico a nivel internacional en 2012. Desde junio del 2021 es el rostro de la marca de lencería norteamericana, Victoria's Secret.
